Our Story
Mark moved his family from Salisbury, Maryland to southwestern Suffolk, Virginia in 1999 and Pecan Hill Farm was born. An awesome daughter and three amazing sons grew up on the family farm raising sheep, goats, cattle and a few pigs. The kids were active in 4-H and FFA and showed livestock at county, state and national shows. In 2007, Mark married Debbie, she and two incredible sons moved to the farm, and a countrified version of the “Brady Bunch” was completed! The family grew with the addition of an extraordinary son-in-law and four (soon to be five!) wonderful daughters-in-law. Debbie and I have also been blessed to have a new crop of shepherds that includes seven (soon to be eight!) grandsons and two (soon to be four!) granddaughters.
Over the years our family has grown, all our lives have changed, and the kids have moved off the farm. One thing has remained constant, we strive to produce healthy, high-quality livestock to be sold at reasonable prices. We are proud members of the Virginia Sheep and Pork Industries!
